Hi from the Collective museum in Casablanca Morroco, Citizen project for a museum of collective memory. :https://www.atelierobservatoire.com/collective-museum Eugénie , The Collective Museum Casablanca - 2022/07/20 15:26 bonjour a tous tomfai - 2022/07/20 15:18 Many thanks Tarek for this talk and also addressing critical issues with the GEM. what is your opinion on sustainable tourism? Would not all the monuments benefit for focussing on sensible tourism instead of mass tourism? Gabi Pieke - 2022/07/20 15:15 I love the idea of having women form Co-ops with the backing of the museum. That can work with other elements of culture/heritage. Not just food. That was lovely. Kana, Botswana - 2022/07/20 14:48 Thanks Ibrahim, how do you engage the community and maintain their support to the museum? Sonitha, Indonesie - 2022/07/20 14:35 Incredibly interesting project by Ecomusee Tata Somba. I am interested in keeping traditional skills alive. When you design your training programmes, do museum staff/volunteers learn about skills and then undertake the training (i.e. the trainers are always the same people), or does the museum act as an intermediary between those local people with traditional skills and those seeking them (i.e. the trainers are different people depending on which skills are being taught)? Christian Baars, ICOM UK - 2022/07/20 14:35 Incredibly interesting project by Ecomusee Tata Somba. I am interested in keeping traditional skills alive. For organising your training programme, what is the model for passing on the knowledge? Do museum staff/volunteers provide the training after learning these skills themselves, or do you act as an intermediary between those local people with skills who can pass them on, and those who are being trained? Christian Baars, ICOM UK - 2022/07/20 14:30 Beautiful presentation from Benin we love to share similar experiences from other African cultures as well.
