Esther - 2020/08/05 15:49 Thank you very much for excellent webinar Eva Kekou - 2020/08/05 15:48 How do people of local communities get benefit from museums? Dr.Malay Dey, University of Jammu, India - 2020/08/05 15:47 Good day from Robben Island Museum, Cape Town. Just a short comment on how museums could engage with local communities as a type of "new normal". I think that the concept of the museum has to change at root level. The museum of the future has to change from being a building filled with collections for exhibition. The museum needs to go to the child in the community and respond to what that child needs from the museum, within the confines of their collected resources. This means changing the very archaic business model. I like Bonita's comments about users and participants as opposed to visitors. So changing at the root, to me, means deconstructing the very colonial management and governance structures of museums and to allow communities to formulate these spaces which are really intended for their use and edification. Carlos Diazgranados - 2020/08/05 15:34
De parte de Carol Rogers: "We began the development process through discussion with local networks and care providers supporting people with dementia. through this we were introduced to a group supported by a local hospital trust. They agreed to work with us to co-create the My House of Memories app, which we approached through a living lab model created by the University of Liverpool. The process was delivered over several weeks of group workshops wherein we tested ideas regarding the design and functionality of the app. The final app design meets UK dementia friendly guidelines and is unique in the field of museum digital innovation. Here is a link to the House of Memories programme and app in action: https://liverpoolmuseums-my.sharepoint.com/:v:/g/personal/laura_jennings_liverpoolmuseums_org_uk/Eez4YEhi9NdPkQWE3bSk2tABBN6f-ga626LCfJW2Z9wFCg?e=QK6HPE "What is the name of the app Carol? Karlijn - 2020/08/05 15:32 To Carol @ Museum of Liverpool: great to hear the app was successful. Did you provide an offer for people who had no access to technology at all? What are your plans for the programme going forward as the museum slowly reopens? Katy Jackson - 2020/08/05 15:34
